Why I’m Starting a Podcast & How it Benefits You

For those of you unfamiliar with podcasts, let me take a minute to explain. The Health, Wealth & Balance podcast is an audio show, similar to a radio show, where I’ll interview guests each week and provide more information about creating, building, and maintaining health, wealth, and balance. The women I choose to interview have all built successful companies, home-based businesses, or followed their dreams and live incredibly rich lives. My hope is that we can learn from them while getting inspired and motivated to create our own healthy, wealthy, and balanced lives achieving our dreams and our goals.

The podcast episodes will run between 30 minutes – one hour, so you can listen while you’re at work with your headphones on, while you’re driving in the car, while you’re cleaning, cooking, or working out. Or, you can sit down for some good old “me-time” and give all your attention to each episode.

This is a passion project of mine because it’s important I share the resources with you that have helped me along the way. Some of these women I know personally, while others I’ve met along my journey and look up to for how they make a greater impact in the world.

One thing I know for certain is this: I never would have thought I’d be an entrepreneur. When I stepped into this world, I knew nothing and I’ve spent the last few years learning everything I can about what it takes. What I haven’t found are tons of women stepping up to be the entrepreneur leaders I want to see in the world (so of course, I took it upon myself to make it happen). Taking it one step further – I haven’t found people talking about balance in the entrepreneurship world. I find it ironic that so many women quit their jobs to start their own businesses in hopes that it will give them more freedom only to find that instead, they’re working more than ever before and their stress levels are at an all-time high. I know this was a big surprise to me.

Yes, we have to work really hard as entrepreneurs, as mothers, as women. If there is no conversation at all about balance, rest, and relaxation then no one will focus on it. Healthy entrepreneurship is an option, and I’m here to help find the people who can tell you all about it.

Welcome to what I’m calling the New World Order of Working Women. We have the power to do things our way. We have the choice. It’s up to you how you choose to live, run, and manage your life. Here are the tools, resources, and support to make it a little easier.

HWB 001 Summary

Luna Jaffe, certified financial planner and published author, began her life’s journey in the real world traveling around the globe on a boat. How did she become a successful financial planner advising others how to manage their money? In today’s first ever episode of HWB, Luna shares her personal story – how she went from being an artist specializing in silk painting, got her Master’s degree in counseling, worked in organizational planning in the corporate world, and then finally found the work that would light up her world.

Luna never had a 401K, health insurance, or a regular salary until she was 40; two years later she was laid off. Her story is proof that you don’t have to have everything figured out at age 25 and that if you keep searching, the work you were meant to do will come to you. You  might even be surprised as to what form that work might take.

Luna shares plenty of wisdom for how creative women can manage their money and learn how to be savvy financial managers of your own life. She shares money tips, resources and guidance from her new book, Wild Money, along with reassurance that no matter where you are financially right now, you always have the opportunity to turn things around.

If nothing else, skip ahead to the 18-minute-ish mark to hear about a money mindset shift that will change the entire way you give and receive money.

Whether you’re an entrepreneur, business owner, full-time mom, or employee struggling with money management like I do, tune in to listen to Luna’s story, advice and wisdom.

In this episode you will learn:

  • Differences around how women handle money based on age, gender stereotypes, and relationships
  • How to build confidence to ask for what you’re worth
  • How to start learning the money language and create your own wild money journey
  • The process you need to go through to find out how you really feel about money
